Charly started training in Classical Ballet at the age of six. She passed exams of the Royal Academy of Dance and later graduated from the Iwanson School of Contemporary Dance in Germany where she was awarded a scholarship for studies at Ballet Academy Stockholm/Sweden.

Charly moved to New York to become a full-time student at the Alvin Ailey School. She was a scholarship student at Jennifer Muller/The Works and took company classes with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company.

Charly worked as a professional dancer at the Bavarian State Opera in Germany and she performed with Naganuma Dance, Keila Cordova Dances, Regina Nejman & Company, Earl Mosley/Diversity of Dance, Shadowbox Theater, Erick Montes, BodyStories:Teresa Fellion Dance, BalaSole Dance Company, LolaLola Dance Theater, Morningside Opera, DexDance, Hydroflo Movement Company, Soul Movement and other companies and independent choreographers in and around New York City.

Charly starred in the dance film “Global Tides” (, which has been screened at film festivals worldwide, as well as in the dance films “Dance Untitled” by Kaori Brand, “One” by Jess Situ, “Broken Chains” by Nickolet Allen and her own film “Licht”.
She was also featured in the music videos “Animal Love” by Charlene Caye, “Over the love” by Aisha Casey, which aired on BCAT Television Networks and in the music video “Zari” by Majeed Beenteha.

Charly toured internationally with Japanese singer Yoko Ishida, choreographed and danced for several other recording artists and was featured in Dance Spirit Magazine.

She is currently a company member of Third Rail Projects in their Bessie Award winning, immersive theater production “Then She Fell”.
